Why You need a Simplified Dashboard
Not all of your clients will need a customized WordPress Dashboard. Some clients can navigate WordPress just fine. Some clients will never even login. But my experience with non-profits and organizations where the content tasks are delegated to office staff or volunteers, providing a customized and simplified admin experience has been a huge selling point for my website builds. My clients feel confident adding content (or delegating that responsibility to a volunteer) without hurting the design. It’s almost as easy as filling in the blanks.
This four part step-by-step tutorial takes you through my process of customizing the WordPress Dashboard. There are several plugins that do this, but they are really more than what I need. I don’t want all of the bells and whistles of a portal, I just want my client to be able do do the work and find what they need.
There’s no time limit. You’re access won’t expire as long as your account is in good standing. Watch as many times as you need to! Your imagination will take you as far as you want!
